toddler backpacks

I have made a couple more toddler backpacks in the past few months. They have become one of my favorite projects to sew up for little one’s birthday presents. Pattern is Toddler Backpack by Made by Rae.

For this first one I used Sunday Clippings by Katy Jones for Art Gallery Fabrics, gold piping that I found at a craft store, and for the lining I used one of my go-tos Mini Black Dots on White Cotton Calico Fabric from Hobby Lobby.

This next one I used Mickey Mouse and Friends from Camelot Fabrics for the main part along with Robert Kauffman Essex Yarn Dyed fabric. I used some solid black to make an applique, fused it to the front panel and then used my regular sewing machine to sew around the outline with a tight zigzag stitch. I also put a lining in this bag, just didn’t forgot to take a photo.
